Circuit des Yeux, the project of Haley Fohr, is preparing to follow 2022’s great -io with a new album, which is expected out early in 2025 via Matador. More details about that are still to come, and to hold us over until then she’s shared a new single, the orchestral, dramatic “God Dick.” “‘GOD DICK’ serves as a sort of chrysalis function,” Fohr says. “It’s passage leading from the past toward things to come. It’s sweaty, exponential, cacophonous, growing, symphonic, and relentless. I wrote this as an effort to embody a state of change fueled by deep wanting. I sonically (and visually) imagined something huge hiding in a skin much too small for it – a kind of love banshee bursting through porcelain skin one hair at a time until finally, the beast within is fully on display.” Hear it below.
Circuit des Yeux has also announced 2025 tour dates, including a solo run supporting Low’s Alan Sparhawk in January and full band shows in April and May. Before that, she has a couple of solo shows in November, followed by duo dates with Bill Nace. See all dates below.
