Cass McCombs has announced reissues of his 2002 debut EP, Not the Way, along with his first two studio albums, 2003’s A, and 2005’s PREfection. Those have all been remastered at Abbey Road Studio and mark their first reissues since the original release. All three will be out September 6 via 4AD. Preorder them here.
To celebrate, Cass has shared a never-before-released demo of PREfection’s “Sacred Heart,” alongside a new video directed by pro skater Jerry Hsu. That’s on 2000-2004 Demos, Live and Radio, a cassette that will also be out September 6 via Orindal. Watch the video below.
Meanwhile, Cass has also announced the As Paint on Fur Tour where cass promises “something old, something new.” West Coast shows will be with Papercuts, and East Coast shows are with Advance Base. The NYC stop is September 25 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets are on sale now and all dates are listed below.
