This is great bill all around, headlined by Against Me!, who gave their career a re-boost with 2014’s great Transgender Dysphoria Blues and kept the momentum going with last year’s Shape Shift With Me.

Modest Mouse haven’t released an album since 2015’s Strangers to Ourselves, but they always load their setlist with old favorites and they remain a must-see live band. This is their second of two consecutive nights at the Cap.
‘Into the Veil’ w/ S U R V I V E & more @ Green-Wood Cemetery
Ever want to see Stranger Things soundtrackers S U R V I V E play live in a cemetery? Here’s your chance, as part of this weekend’s “Into the Veil” live music and performance event that sounds a bit like Sleep No More meets a concert at a haunted house. Also performing: Laraaji, Lucien Shapiro, Rob Roth, The Burns Archive, Ashley Rose Couture, The Apprehension Engine, and “more to be discovered.”
Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival
The Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival wraps up today with several shows including Justin Martin at Analog BKNY, Hieroglyphic Being at Good Room, Gorgon City at Two Room Warehouse, and more.
The Front Bottoms @ Rough Trade (1 PM)
The Front Bottoms just released their poppy new album Going Grey. Their tour includes a big NYC show at Terminal 5, but first they play this much smaller show (which includes a signing). To get in, you had to buy the new album from the Rough Trade store.
William Patrick Corgan @ Murmrr Theatre
Fresh off releasing his new solo album Ogilala, Smashing Pumpkins frontman William Patrick Corgan (don’t call him Billy anymore) plays two consecutive NYC shows this weekend, this being the first.
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead @ Brooklyn Bowl
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead have emerged as one of the finest Grateful Dead-related bands around (and Russo often plays with actual Dead members). This the final night of a six-night run at Brooklyn Bowl.
Halsey, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Charli XCX @ Prudential Center
Pop star Halsey headlines this big arena show, and there’s pretty solid support from Drake associate PARTYNEXTDOOR and punky pop singer Charli XCX.
Springsteen on Broadway
It’s the hottest ticket on Broadway: Bruce Springsteen playing solo at the intimate Walter Kerr Theatre, performing some of his biggest hits and telling stories about them. His show runs through February.
Jonathan Toubin, Josh Styles @ Secret Project Robot
Toubin and Styles revive their ’00s-era party “Polyglot Discotheque” for one night only, where “your favorite 1960s jams boomeranging back to the english-speaking world from far away and return to you in other tongues! Covers in French, Turkish, Portugese, Spanish, Italian, German, and more plus foreign fuzz, garage, and pop originals!”
Rhett & Link @ PlayStation Theatre
Comedic YouTube duo Rhett & Link have been best buddies since meeting in 1st grade in 1984 at Buies Creek Elementary school in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Since then, they have become prolific “internetainers,” podcasters, actors, and directors. Their “Tour of Mythicality” hits NYC tonight for early and late shows.
