Oasis fever is spreading and it seems like everyone wants to catch it. Snail Mail played SummerStage in Central Park on Tuesday night, and for their penultimate song of the night, they covered “Supersonic,” Oasis’ 1994 debut single. Their take on the awesomely silly song (“I know a girl called Elsa, she’s into Alka Seltzer”) was decidedly rough, but Lindsey Jordan and her band were clearly having fun. Tuesday’s SummerStage show was a free one with Tim Heidecker and Fenne Lily also on the lineup, and you can see pictures from the whole night by Emilio Herce below.
SummerStage was also the kickoff of Snail Mail’s tour, and most dates are supporting Waxahatchee and with Tim Heidecker as well. Those, which include Asbury Park’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on September 1, are listed below.
