Palehound & Ratboys played Warsaw with youbet (pics, setlists)

Ratboys and Palehound teamed up for a few co-headlining shows this fall, the last of which happened in Brooklyn on Saturday (11/16) at Warsaw. Both bands released great new albums last year — The Window and Eye On The Bat, respectively — and both of their setlists, which you can see below, pulled largely from those albums, also including some older material. They were also accepting donations for Trans Lifeline, Network of Abortion Funds, and Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.

Palehound closed out the night, and at the end of the band’s set, El Kempner got emotional, telling the sold out crowd that they’d soon be undergoing gender affirming surgery. They added that they recognized getting such surgery was a privilege but hoped that someday it would be available for all who needed such healthcare. They also had a trans flag on display, and mentioned that everyone on stage with them was either queer, trans, or both.
