Oasis kicked off the North American leg of their Live ’25 reunion tour on Sunday night at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium. It was the first of two shows there and they seemed to have brought the English weather with them, as it was a soggy night full of rain. Liam Gallagher told the crowd, “Don’t you just love it, a little bit of chaos when the weather comes? So fucking good, innit? Twist your melons just a little bit, innit? All that sunshine, it’s not good for ya. Wind and sleet. Good for the soul.” The weather didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of fans, though, who were there to see their first Toronto show in 17 years. The band haven’t changed their 23-song setlist since the tour began in Wales, and didn’t change it for Toronto either, with songs chosen mostly from Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, and b-sides from that era. It was a sing-a-long, though judging from fan video, the Rogers Stadium crowd was not quite as enthusiastic as UK audiences have been, but maybe that was the rain. Oasis play Toronto again tonight, then play Chicago on Thursday before heading to the NYC area for two sold-out shows at NJ’s Metlife Stadium on Sunday (8/31) and Monday (9/1). From there they hit Los Angeles and Mexico City. Cage the Elephant open on all dates, and NJ and LA also get fellow ’90s Britpop band Cast. All dates are listed below.
