Brittany Howard and Michael Kiwanuka are on their co-headlining fall tour, which hit the NYC-area last week for shows at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on Wednesday (10/2) and Manhattan’s SummerStage in Central Park on Thursday (10/3). They’ve been trading off who goes first and second on these dates, and we went to the SummerStage show, where Brittany closed out the night, playing songs from this year’s greatWhat Now and 2019’s Jaime.
Michael has a new album, Small Changes, on the way next month, and he played a few songs from that, along with favorites from throughout his discography. Yasmin Williams, who just released her new album Acadia, opened the show, and you can see pictures from the whole night by Emilio Herce below.
Brittany also stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform What Now‘s title track while in NYC, and you can watch video of that below.
