Primus recently announced that their longtime drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander was leaving the band “effective immediately,” and now they’re taking open submissions for his replacement.
“Seeking a well-mannered, affable individual with original sensibility and aesthetic, possessing a desire to open new doors in the creative world,” Primus write. “Flashy chops are wonderful, but groove, pocket, and the ability to listen, react, and contribute to the musical conversation is a must.”

Alexander said that he had lost his “passion for playing” and that Primus deserved “someone who wants to be there.”
