Watch Olivia Rodrigo duet with Chappell Roan on “HOT TO GO!” in LA

At this point, Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo go way back. They share producer Dan Nigro, and Chappell was an opener on both Olivia’s 2022 Sour tour and this year’s Guts tour. It was directly after wrapping up her run on the latter that Chappell released “Good Luck, Babe!,” played Coachella, and began her meteoric rise. Now, at one of the final dates of the Guts tour, at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome last night (8/20), Olivia brought Chappell back into the fold, but not as an opener. This time, she was a special guest during Olivia’s set for a crowd-pleasing duet of Chappell’s own “HOT TO GO!”

“I think she is one of the most singular, inspiring, powerful artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I’m so excited because she’s gonna sing one of my favorite songs of all time,” Olivia told the crowd, who replied with very audible screams. It’s also very clear from fan-shot video that the arena crowd had no trouble helping Chappell and Olivia sing this one.

“The way I saw this tour a few months ago with Chappell as the support and it was CRICKETS and now her joining Olivia for one song is the Gen Z equivalent of Kylie Minogue and Madonna performing together…. truly insane,” reads one of the video’s top comments, from @calummew7750. It looks like it was a blast and you can watch the video for yourself below.

The final US show of Olivia’s Guts tour is tonight (8/21) at Intuit Dome, her sixth consecutive Inglewood show. Like at the other five, The Breeders are opening. After this, Olivia heads to Asia and Australia. All dates here.

Chappell has also been making headlines this week after saying that she and members of her family have dealt with stalking and harassment from fans in the months since her surprise fame. “I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous, whatever,” she said in a TikTok video. “I don’t care that it’s normal. I don’t care that this crazy type of behavior comes along with the job, the career field I’ve chosen. That does not make it OK, that doesn’t make it normal. That doesn’t mean that I want it, that doesn’t mean that I like it.”
