St. Vincent and David Byrne were scheduled for back-to-back sets to close out the Gentilly Stage at NOLA Jazz Fest on Sunday, and they made good use of that booking by each inviting the other out during their performances. St. Vincent brought Byrne out for a rendition of Talking Heads’ “Wild Wild Life,” which they last performed together during their 2013 tour for their collaborative album Love This Giant, and Byrne had Annie Clark join him on another Talking Heads song, “Air,” during his set. Byrne recently announced new tour dates, including an NYC show at Forest Hills Stadium on September 19. St. Vincent has been rolling out an orchestral tour a bit at a time, including NYC’s Wu Tsai Theater, David Geffen Hall on July 2 with New York Philharmonic. See all dates below.
