After beginning the Sweat Tour in Detroit earlier this month, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan hit NYC for a sold-out Madison Square Garden show last night (9/23), marking Charli’s return to NYC after her Brat release show at Brooklyn Paramount back in June. Charli and Troye have been co-headlining the shows with a joint set that goes back and forth between the two singers and also finds them giving collaborative performances of 2018 hit “1999” and the new version of “Talk Talk” with Troye, and Charli has also been bringing out opener Shygirl for the “365” remix that she features on.
At the MSG show, Charli had two more guests. TikTok influencer turned pop singer Addison Rae showed up to make the live debut of her own recent hit “Diet Pepsi,” joined by both Charli and Troye, and then she joined Charli on the A.G. Cook remix of “Von Dutch” that she features on. After that, Lorde came out for the version of “Girl, So Confusing” with Lorde. Watch videos of those appearances below.
The Sweat Tour continues in Philly on Wednesday (9/25). All remaining dates are listed below. The year of Brat continues with Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat on October 11, a don’t-call-it-a-remix-album that features the tracks with Troye, Lorde, and Addison, as well as the recently-released Brat reworks with Billie Eilish and Robyn/Yung Lean, plus more TBA.
