Watch Bruce Springsteen play 3 songs & blast Trump at Kamala Harris rally in Georgia

Bruce Springsteen performed at a Clarkston, GA rally for Kamala Harris on Thursday night (10/25), where he blasted Donald Trump, saying he’s “running to be an American tyrant,” and did solo acoustic renditions of “The Promised Land,” “Land of Hope and Dreams,” and “Dancing in the Dark.” “I want a president who reveres the constitution, who does not threaten but wants to protect and guide our great democracy, who believes in the rule of law and the peaceful transfer of power, who will fight for a woman’s right to choose, and who wants to create a middle-class economy that will serve all our citizens,” Springsteen told the crowd of 20,000 at James R Hallford Stadium. “There is only one candidate in this election who holds those principles dear: Kamala Harris. She’s running to be the 47th president of the United States.” Watch video clips of his performance, and his remarks, below.

Spike Lee, Tyler Perry, and Samuel L Jackson were among those in attendance for the rally, which is reported to be Kamala’s largest yet. It was also the first time Obama appeared with her this election cycle.

Bruce is scheduled to appear again at a Philadelphia rally on Monday (10/28), and Beyoncé and Willie Nelson are set to join Harris in Houston tonight (10/28).

Trump responded to Springsteen’s appearance with a statement on his website calling his endorsement a “betrayal of his wannabe working class persona,” and continuing, “If nothing else, Springsteen’s appearance is an acknowledgement he is deeply out of touch with the working class of which he claims to be part.”
