The Zach Bryan x Bruce Springsteen lovefest continues. First, Bruce joined Zach on stage at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in March to perform their then-not-yet-released collaboration “Sandpaper,” which Zach released in July on his excellent new album The Great American Bar Scene. Zach’s ongoing extensive tour hit Philly’s Lincoln Financial Field last night (8/7), and Bruce joined him on stage for “Sandpaper” again, but this time he and Zach also duetted on The Boss’ own Nebraska classic “Atlantic City.” They did a strummy, propulsive, full-band rendition and made it sound like it could be a Zach Bryan original, without losing that Springsteen edge. It sounds pretty awesome, and judging by fan-shot video, it looks like it was a big hit with the Philly crowd. Check it out below.
Zach also brought out The Lumineers during “Spotless,” and for his encore, Bruce, The Lumineers, and comedian Shane Gillis all joined Zach on stage for “Revival.” Watch videos of all three Bruce appearances and see Zach’s full setlist below.
Zach’s tour continues through the end of the year, and brings him back to Brooklyn on December 18 and 19 at Barclays Center with Matt Maeson and Levi Turner opening both shows. Zach also has a couple more dates this month with support from Jason Isbell, who just announced a new live album yesterday, and who sung “King of Oklahoma” with Zach on stage earlier this year.
