SHAI HULUD
Florida hardcore vets Shai Hulud, featuring Geert back on vocals, will be on tour this fall. The second leg of the tour, which kicks off 12/11 at The Meadows in Brooklyn, is with Massachusetts screamo/metalcore band Holder who released an EP on Ephyra in 2024, and who meanwhile also play a stacked bill at a Market Hotel in Brooklyn on 8/29 and a New England Metal & Hardcore Fest pre-party with Stick To Your Guns on 9/19.
METALLICA
Are Metallica playing the Sphere in Las Vegas? Lars Ulrich can neither confirm nor deny, but they are playing a very intimate Long Island show to celebrate the launch of their SiriusXM channel.
THE MOUNTAIN GOATS
The Mountain Goats have added three East Coast shows to their fall tour, including Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on October 4.
HARDLY STRICTLY BLUEGRASS
San Francisco’s annual (and free) Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival happens October 3-5 in Golden Gate Park and they’ve just announced more artists for the lineup: Alan Sparhawk With Trampled By Turtles, I’m With Her, The Altons, William Prince, Sinkane, Alo, Kelly Mcfarling, Jontavious Willis, Jimmie Dale Gilmore And The West Texas Exiles, and The Watson Twins.
WYCLEF JEAN
Wyclef Jean of Fugees fame has announced a residency at NYC’s Blue Note.
NO JOY
No Joy, whose new album Bugland is out this week, have added West Coast dates to their fall tour, including Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Oakland, and LA.
HELL’S HEROES 2026
Houston fest Hell’s Heroes has announced the initial lineup of it’s 2026 edition which happens March 19-21. Dirkschneider (celebrating Balls to the Wall‘s 40th anniversary) and Sanctuary (playing Refuge Denied) are headliners, plus Tankard, Voivod (all ’80s set), Virgin Steele, 3 Inches of Blood, H.O.L.M.E.S. The Sound of W.A.S.P., Bulldozer, Grand Magus, White Wizzard, Hellbutcher, Power From Hell, Bat, Bütcher, Vulture, Phantom and Interceptor.
MERCE LEMON
Merce Lemon will be out this fall with Hemlock for a few East Coast shows, including DC, Philly and two nights at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on November 13 & 14.
