Tim Heidecker has announced new album Slipping Away which will be out October 18 via Bloodshot (his first LP for the label.) He made this one with his Very Good Band: Eliana Athayde on bass, Josh Adams on drums, Vic Berger on keys, and Connor “Catfish” Gallaher on guitar / pedal steel. Tim’s daughter Amelia also appears on the album.
“My favorite records are the ones that were just recorded in a room with a band playing,” Tim says, referencing Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and The Band as influences. “And that’s what we did.” You can watch the video for first single “Well’s Running Dry,” which was filmed in their studio during the recording of the album, below.
Tim will be on tour in August and September including a run of shows supporting Waxahatchee and Snail Mail. Those include a free NYC show at SummerStage in Central Park on August 17 which is with Fenne Lily and headliner Snail Mail, and Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony Summerstage on September 1 which is supporting Waxahatchee and Snail Mail.
