There’s still no official announcement for The Cure‘s new album Songs of a Lost World but the teasers are getting bigger. Literally. Last week posters were up in a train station in the band’s hometown of Crawley, West Sussex, and now massive electronic billboards are showing up in major cities around the world, including NYC and Rome.
As spotted by redditor girlatthewindow, the NYC billboard is on the northeast corner of W. 52nd St and Broadway, just above Times Square. Like the UK posters and postcards, the name “The Cure” does not appear on it, just “Songs of a Lost World,” the November 1, 2024 date, and a revolving image of a stone with a face in it.
This is all very exciting but enough teasing, Robert Smith. We’ve waited too long already!
