The Cure will release a second single from Songs of a Lost World, “A Fragile Thing,” on Wednesday, October 9, and they’ve shared a short snippet of it on their socials. “A Fragile Thing” is one of the songs The Cure played on their 2022/2023 Shows of a Lost World tour, and it leans just a little towards danceability with a shuffling syncopated beat. This clips sounds like a piece of the intro, and you can listen to that — and watch The Cure perform it live — below.
Songs of a Lost World is The Cure’s first album in 16 years and will be out November 1 (preorder it on vinyl). The band will play a show in London just ahead of that which will be broadcast on Halloween by the BBC.
