The Cure are up to something. Fans woke today to find the band’s website wiped, just offering a new logo for the band — lowercase “the” with “CURE” in all caps in an old typewritery serif font — and an option to sign up for their mailing list. The logo is also now the profile pic on their social media.
This is all usually a sign that a band is about to announce something — most recently TV on the Radio — but as to what it is, who can say. Could it be that album, Songs Of A Lost World, Robert Smith has been promising for years? One redditor notes that if you look into the source code for their site, the title is “The Cure | Blackout,” which might also mean something.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
