A2’s Talking Heads tribute album, Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, is out today (5/17), and you can stream it below. It features the previously released covers from Paramore (of “Burning Down the House”), Lorde (of “Take Me to the River,” originally by Al Green), and girl in red (of “Girlfriend is Better”), as well as renditions by Miley Cyrus (“Psycho Killer”), The National (“Heaven”), Blondshell (“Thank You For Sending Me An Angel”), The Linda Lindas (“Found A Job”), BadBadNotGood ft. Norah Jones (“This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)”), Kevin Abstract (“One In A Lifetime”), Toro Y Moi ft. Brijean (“Genius of Love”), Chicano Batman ft. Money Mark (“Crosseyed and Painless”), and more, and it accompanies A24’s 4k restoration of the classic concert film.
Talking Heads will also reuniting for more screening and Q&A events in NYC (Kings Theatre on June 13) and Los Angeles (Hollywood Pantages Theatre on June 4) next month. Each one will feature the performance of a cover from the tribute album (The Linda Lindas in NYC and Blondshell in LA) with Fred Armisen hosting in LA and Questlove in NYC.
