Last year, Texas melodic hardcore band Strange Joy turned a lot of heads with their great 5 Tracks EP, and now they’ve announced a followup. It’s called Power Pop and due October 20 via Sunday Drive Records (pre-order), but don’t let the name fool you into thinking Strange Joy have toned things down. It’s power pop in the sense that it’s powerful, hook-fueled music, but it’s closer to Drug Church than Teenage Fanclub. Listen to the ripping title track below.
