Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham announce first ever ‘Buckingham Nicks’ reissue

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have been teasing something, and while we hoped this might mean the Fleetwood Mac bandmates had reconciled and were on speaking terms again, this is pretty cool too. Their only album as a duo, 1973’s Buckingham Nicks, is getting its first ever reissue, due out on September 19 via Rhino. It’s been unavailable for decades, including on streaming services, and the reissue has been sourced from the original analog master tapes and cut by Kevin Gray. You can stream the first track, “Crying in the Night,” below.

There’s a 180-gram vinyl edition of Buckingham Nicks, limited to 5000 copies, and a special version with two replica 7-inch singles featuring the original single mixes of “Crying In The Night” b/w “Stephanie” and “Don’t Let Me Down Again” b/w “Races Are Run.” Both are available for pre-order via Rhino, and you can pre-order the album on baby blue vinyl in the BV shop.

Meanwhile, Nicks will be on tour starting in August with a Brooklyn show at Barclays Center on August 8. Buckingham has been working with Mick Fleetwood on Mick’s new solo album. Hopefully we’ll hear more about that soon; stay tuned.
