Sludgy/shoegazey Pittsburgh trio Spotlights have launched a GoFundMe after getting robbed while on tour in Europe. “Hi Everyone,” they write, “Never thought we would have to do this, but unfortunately our van was broken into during our show in Manchester, UK.”
They continue:
We’re extremely lucky that we had all of our equipment with us at the time but Chris, our sound engineer Terence, and our driver/merch Ian all had their luggage stolen. There were laptops, iPads and all their clothes and personal belongings in there.
On top of that we have to pay a hefty deductible to the rental company for insurance.
We’re hoping this doesn’t interfere with any shows and we are able to continue on to finish the EU portion of this tour. Our first priority is getting clothes and toiletries for the ones who lost them.
If you are able to help, we’ll be eternally grateful. We’ll try to make it up to you by keeping this machine running as long as it can.
