They’re also officially proclaiming the following day, April 1, “Punk Rock Day” in Las Vegas. Mayor Goodman, Chairman Tic Segerblom, and council members will be on hand to help present an engraved padlock to the museum, and the museum is offering free general admission that day.

At 12:30 PM on April 1, KJ Jansen from Chixdiggit! will be a tour guide and play a couple acoustic songs in the bar after the ceremony, followed by music from DJ Jaymes Q Mayhem and DJ Atomic. Tickets for KJ’s tour are on sale.

In April, The Offspring will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Smash with a Punk Rock Museum takeover from 4/12-4/14 that features an acoustic performance, a Q&A with the band, and more.
