PLOSIVS, the punk supergroup of Rob Crow (Pinback), John Reis (Rocket From The Crypt/Drive Like Jehu/Hot Snakes), Atom Willard (RFTC, Against Me!, The Offspring, etc), and Jordan Clark (Mrs. Magician), have announced the follow-up to their 2022 self-titled debut. It’s called Yell at Cloud and will be out November 28 via Swami Records.
According to Swami, the band relocated to Winnipeg and wrote and “recorded at the No Fun compound while the the famous blizzard of ‘20 descended upon the city,” saying that the sub-zero conditions led to power outages and “Most of what you hear on Yell At Cloud was recorded in the dark or by candlelight.” The conditions were so brutal PLOSIVS went back to San Diego and let the recordings sit unfinished for four years. It was finally finished with mixing engineer Ben Moore who worked on the band’s debut.
