So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
GLITTERER – “NOT FOREVER”
Glitterer, the current band led by Title Fight’s Ned Russin, have shared the second single from their upcoming album erer. This one shows off a softer, slower side of the band than lead single “Stainless Steel,” still fueled by Ned’s open-hearted songwriting style.

FKA TWIGS – “PREDICTABLE GIRL”
Eusexua Afterglow, the follow-up to FKA twigs’ fantastic January album, is out this Friday, and she’s shared a final advance single ahead of that, the glitchy “Predictable Girl.”

DRY CLEANING – “CRUISE SHIP DESIGNER”
“The song is about a cruise ship and hotel designer who’s skilled and paid well, but who doesn’t believe his role has real worth,” says Dry Cleaning’s Florence Shaw of the band’s new single. “He tries to enjoy it, and invests himself in meeting the challenges of the job.” The video features the band’s Lewis Maynard doing a little interpretive dancing. Dry Cleaning’s new album Secret Love is out January 9.

ABRONIA – “NEW IMPOSITION”
Portland’s Abronia have announced new album Shapes Unravel which will be out February 20 via Cardinal Fuzz & Feeding Tube Records. This six-piece are pretty much unpidgeonholable as you’ll gatehr from “New Imposition.”

SOULWAX – “RUN FREE” & “ALL SYSTEMS ARE LYING” (NITE VERSIONS)
Soulwax have given two tracks off their great new album All Systems Are Lying their signature “Nite Versions” remixes, radically reworked and specially designed for the dancefloor.

JENNY ON HOLIDAY – “GOOD INTENTIONS”
Jenny On Holiday (Jenny Hollingsworth of Let’s Eat Grandma) releases her debut solo album Quicksand Heart in January, and she’s given us another preview with “Good Intentions.” “I wrote ‘Good Intentions’ as a reflection on challenges I’ve faced in the past and how I relate to them in the present,” she says. “It’s about striving to live and love fully despite life’s uncertainties.”

THESE NEW PURITANS – “THE OTHER SIDE”
Art-rock band These New Puritans released Crooked Wing earlier this year and have now shared an outtake from that album’s sessions. “It’s one of the most minimal songs we’ve ever done: just Jack on piano – improvised live; me on drums; and soprano,” says the group’s George Barnett. “It’s eaten at me that it hasn’t seen the light of day before now as it’s Jack at his best.”

SCOTT MCCLOUD (GIRLS AGAINST BOYS, SOULSIDE) – “COME ROUND”
Girls Against Boys vocalist/Soulside guitarist Scott McCloud has announced his debut solo album, Make It To Forever, due January 30 via God Unknown Records. Lead single “Come Round” finds him in brooding, folky territory à la Leonard Cohen or Angels of Light.

WILL EPSTEIN – “BRIDESHEAD REVISITED REVISITED”
Will Epstein, NY songwriter and longtime Nicolás Jaar collaborator, has announced a new solo album, Yeah, mostly, due January 9 via Fat Possum. Here’s the lightly psychedelic pop of new single “Brideshead Revisited Revisited.”

BOREEN – “DON’T DIE!”
Portland DIY band Boreen have announced their final album, Heartbreak Hill, due November 21 via Bud Tapes. The lead single is the gentle, lovely “Don’t Die!”.

VANESSA CARLTON – “ANIMAL”
Vanessa Carlton has a new album called Veils coming in early 2026 (exact release date TBA), and the first taste is this new Dave Fridmann-produced single.

FATAL REALM – “OF NO CONSEQUENCE”
Fatal Realm is one of the many bands to include Mike Shaw (most famously of Mindforce) on guitar, and they also have members of Age of Apocalypse. They just dropped this beastly new single.

BILL CALLAHAN – “THE MAN I’M SUPPOSED TO BE”
Bill Callahan has announced a new album, My Days of 58, which will be out February 27 via Drag City. It’s a double LP and was made with the core group of guitarist Matt Kinsey, saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi, and drummer Jim White. Here’s the first single.
