Perry Farrell‘s wife, Etty Lau Farrell, has given an update on the Jane’s Addiction frontman following the onstage fight in Boston between him and guitarist Dave Navarro that led to the cancellation of the tour. According to Etty, Perry is is seeking care from an ENT and a neurologist and that they are “taking a bit of time to ourselves, to reflect and to heal.” Etty also says, “if you know and love Perry well, you know there’s no need for me to address the other false narratives.”

Like attracts like. Kindness attracts kindness. As you know, Perry is the gentlest of souls. We are equally astonished at Perry’s physical outburst as you are – but you must know that Perry must had been pushed to his absolute limit.. to that end we apologize.
We are taking a bit of time to ourselves, to reflect and to heal. Perry already has appointments with a otolaryngologist and a neurologist. If you know and love Perry well, you know there’s no need for me to address the other false narratives. Our souls know.
With all of your love, kindness, compassion and support, you know, Perry will persevere.. He will recover. He will be happy again. He will once again be able to share his music, vision and artistry – unbridled.

Perry Farrell released a statement last Monday following the cancellation of the Jane’s Addiction tour, writing, “It is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show. Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation.” The band also quietly released a new single, “True Love,” last week.
