While they’re no longer touring with Bloc Party this spring, Metric will be playing their 2009 album Fantasies in full in their native Canada in June, including a hometown Toronto show at Budweiser Stage on June 6. They’ve now announced that the show will also stream live on Veeps. Tickets to watch are on sale now, and include a 7-day rewatch period after the show.
“On Friday, June 6th, we’re performing our 2009 album Fantasies and a few of our deep cuts & greatest hits live from the Budweiser Stage in our hometown of Toronto,” Metric say. “For the first time, you can join us from the comfort of wherever you are in the world.”

This show means a lot to us, and it’s not just because we like playing big fun amphitheatres with state-of-the-art production that are named after beer. The Bud Stage really is an excellent venue that fans love seeing shows at and where musicians love to play because it is just a fantastic experience all around. Toronto is such a special place and I love that we get to bring you into the moment we’re having here, wherever you may physically be.
So plan a watch party, put on your favorite vintage tour tee, the tighter the better! Maybe even attempt an asymmetrical hairstyle for the occasion? Let’s make it feel like we’re all in the same room together… and it’s 2009.
