Greenwich Village club Le Poisson Rouge is celebrating its 10th anniversary this spring and summer with a series of special shows they’re calling LPR X. The celebration kicks off May 27 with Thomas Bartlett & Nico Muhly performing “Peter Pears: Balinese Ceremonial Music.” The rest of the LPR X schedule includes a special Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! show where they’ll perform with Ensemble LPR on June 27, plus shows with of Montreal (6/12), Vijay Iyer Trio with Mantana Roberts (6/16), Marc Ribot y Los Cubanos Postizos (6/17), Matthew Sweet (6/20), Blonde Redhead (6/19, tickets), ACME ensemble performing the works of the late Jóhann Jóhannsson, two nights with The Naked & The Famous (6/25 & 6/26), Pere Ubu (8/17, tickets), and more.
The LPR X lineup also includes previously announced shows with Venetian Snares x Daniel Lanois (6/14), YOB & Bell Witch (6/28), and many more. There are also a few events happening at Murmrr Theatre, including TEN with Terri Lyne Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, Nicholas Payton (6/25), Meshelle Ndegeocello (6/26), and Ólafur Arnalds on July 1 (there’s also a 6/30 Ólafur Arnalds show at LPR which is sold out).
Tickets for all newly announced LPR X shows go on sale Friday, March 30 at noon. There are more shows still to be announced but the LPR X schedule as it stands is listed below.
