Like Roses release new song “Broken Things (Lie To Me)”

Berkeley, California emo-pop punks Like Roses follow their very good 2023 singles “Easy” and “Splenetic” with a third new song, “Broken Things (Lie To Me).” It was produced by former Taking Back Sunday guitarist/vocalist and Breaking Pangaea leader Fred Mascherino, and it finds the band leaning into the poppy, hook-fueled side of emo and putting a darker, heavier spin on it.

“Having the opportunity to work with someone who’s been such a big influence has been really special,” singer/guitarist Amy Schmalkuche says of working with Fred. “So much about this recording process was different than anything we’ve done before and we’re stoked for everyone to hear it.”

The band are also on part of the Sad Summer Festival tour, alongside The Wonder Years, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, and more, and they have a couple shows with just The Wonder Years and Knuckle Puck in between too. All dates are listed below.
