UK jazz/electronic musician Kamaal Williams has been accused of sexual assault by three women in a new report from Resident Advisor. The women describe events they say happened in 2010, 2021, and 2023. Kylie, who says she was 17 when she met Williams, said that she told him “no, I’m not having sex with you” multiple times before the alleged assault, and later made a police report. The second woman, Jenna, said that Williams spiked her drink. Read the report in full on Resident Advisor.
In a statement to RV, a representative for Williams said that the “very serious allegations are untrue and emphatically denied by him and that he will be able to demonstrate the same.”
After the allegations were made public, Super Friendz wrote in their Instagram story that they were cancelling Williams’ scheduled Saturday show at Belgrave Music Hall.
UPDATE: More of Williams’ scheduled shows have been cancelled, Resident Advisor reports, including a residency at London’s The Jazz Cafe and dates at The Blues Kitchen Manchester and Central Warehouse.
