Joni Mitchell returns to Spotify after two-year boycott

Neil Young put his music back on Spotify last week after a two-year boycott, and now Joni Mitchell–who had initially followed in his footsteps by doing the same in 2022 shortly after he did–is back on the streaming platform as well. She has not publicly commented on it, but her music was back up on Spotify as of yesterday (3/21).

When Joni initially took her music off Spotify, she said, “I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify. Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.”

More recently, Joni returned to playing live and released the live album AT NEWPORT.
