Prolific ska-punk musician (and Skatune Network leader) Jeremy Hunter has announced a new JER album, Death of the Heart, due August 15 via Bad Time Records (pre-order). It’s the followup to their 2022 debut album Bothered / Unbothered, which we named one of the top 10 punk albums of that year.
Bad Time’s description reads, “The songs range from breakneck ska punk, to hip hop, hardcore, two tone and reggae with Jer bridging the gap with their uniquely honed composition skills and fresh spin on each style. And if you’re looking for a record that reflects the times we’re living in, look no further.” Lead single “The Way You Tune It Out” falls firmly on JER’s rippin’, punkier side, and you can check that out with the self-produced video below.
