Imogen Heap is gearing up to reunite with Guy Sigsworth as Frou Frou for the Garden State 20th anniversary show, and now she’s also back with a new single, “What Have You Done To Me?” It’s her first solo single in four years, and also follows her 2022 instrumental album with Dan O’Neill, Chordata Bytes. Her last proper album was 2014’s Sparks. It’s also been in the works for a while — back in January, she shared “Aftercare (Sunrise Mix),” which she said was the third and final section of “What Have You Done To Me?,” and that she’d written and produced it over two and a half years while “going through an intense period of self discovery.”
“What Have You Done To Me?” is a gothy track with Imogen’s ethereal and sometimes operatic vocals floating over shapeshifting electro-pop, and you can hear it below. She mentions working on an ambitious video for it in this video, but that hasn’t surfaced yet; stay tuned.
