As mentioned in the NY Times quote above, a new Jewish deli at 631 Manhattan Ave had its grand opening today, and co-owner Alex Frankel is in fact the same Alex Frankel who sings in Holy Ghost!. That’s not the only musical connection Frankel’s has: El-P and his collaborator Despot are both investors too. Here’s some of what El and Despot posted on social media as the place opened:
