Chattanooga post-hardcore/melodic hardcore band Gumm left a big impression on us with their 2023 debut LP Slogan Machine, and they only sound harder, better, faster, and stronger on “New From the Pain.” It’s the first taste of their upcoming sophomore album Beneath the Wheel, which arrives on October 31 via Convulse Records (pre-order), and it’s a revved-up melodic hardcore song that’s as catchy as it is gritty.
