Tributes to The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson have been pouring in from all throughout the music world, from Bob Dylan to Kacey Musgraves to Paul McCartney, and now Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong shared a cover of “I Get Around” that he recorded a few years ago and never released. He calls it “one of my all time favorite songs ever,” and his cover is both faithful to the original and full of BJA’s own personality. Check it out below.
Green Day will also be at the same festival as the Brian-Wilson-less Beach Boys this year, Riot Fest.
