Charleston post-hardcore band Florida Man quieted down after the release of their 2019 album Tropical Depression (and the pandemic), but now they’re back and reinvigorated on new single “El Rey,” their first new song in nearly six years. It takes the sludgy post-hardcore/noise rock of a band like The Jesus Lizard (who also dropped a new song today) and injects it with a Latin groove, and it finds the band sounding as fired up as ever.
