Stevie Nicks spoke about the future of Fleetwood Mac in an interview with Mojo. “Without Christine [McVie], no can do,” she told Mojo, continuing, “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”
Lindsey Buckingham was fired from the band in 2018, and said at the time that manager Irving Azoff told him “Stevie never wants to be on a stage with you again.” Stevie addressed the situation herself in 2021, saying that while she was “no longer willing to work with him,” she “did not have him fired, I did not ask for him to be fired, I did not demand he be fired. Frankly, I fired myself.” In the new interview with Mojo, she said, “Even if I thought I could work with Lindsey again, he’s had some health problems. It’s not for me to say, but I’m not sure if Lindsey could do the kind of touring that Fleetwood Mac does, where you go out for a year and half. It’s so demanding.”
McVie passed away in 2022, and Nicks told Mojo, “It was all stunningly strange, because there wasn’t any lead up to it. We got a call, and I was going to rent a plane and go see her, but her family said, ‘Don’t come, because she may not be here tomorrow.’ And the next day, she passed away.”

Stevie is on tour now, though her Hershey, Pennsylvania show scheduled for Saturday night (6/5) at Hershey Park was cancelled at the last minute, “due to illness in the band.” A new date has not been announced yet. See all of her upcoming dates below. UPDATE: Stevie postponed a second show, too.
