Fire-Toolz, aka producer and screamo-leaning artist Angel Marcloid, has signed to Warp and announced their first album for the label. It’s title Lavender Networks and will be out May 8.
The kind of glitchy, hard-to-pigeonhole music Fire-Toolz makes is perfect for a label that’s home to Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. You can listen to intense first single “Balam =^..^= Says IPv09082024 Strawberry Head” (a title Aphex Twin would approve of) via its rather wild video below.
Fire-Toolz co-produced No Joy’s great 2025 album Bugland.
