The new indie-country boom wouldn’t exist without the influence of Drive-By Truckers, and DBT’s own Patterson Hood told about six of the genre’s new albums that he’s into at the moment.
Drive-By Truckers are on tour with their old buddies Deer Tick now, and Thelma and the Sleaze are also joining them for most shows, including NYC’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Friday (7/25). See all dates below.
Patterson released his first solo album in 12 years, Exploding Trees & Airplane Screams, in February, which features Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield, Wednesday’s Karly Hartzman, Lydia Loveless, Kevin Morby, Brad and Phil Cook, and more. He’ll be touring it in the fall with Craig Finn of The Hold Steady – see those dates below as well.
