DARKSIDE have announced a new album, Nothing, which will be out February 28 via Matador. This is their first album as a trio, with Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington adding longtime collaborator, drummer and instrument designer Tlacael Esparza as a full member in 2022. The album grew out of jams they worked on at a rented rehearsal space in LA ahead of their 2023 European tour. One of those new works was “Nothing Jam” which quickly became a central theme to what would be the new album, which they recorded on off-days of their European tour, plus sessions in Los Angeles and Paris.
The album includes last year’s single “Graucha Max,” and they’ve just shared a new one. Built on a slinky electric piano groove, “S.N.C.” simmers along quite nicely before exploding into widescreen Pink Floyd territory, all with a four-on-the-floor beat. You can watch the eye-popping video below.

DARKSIDE will be on their first North American tour in 11 years starting March 13 in Chicago, and including stops at Coachella, Big Ears and two nights at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on March 21 & 22. All dates are listed below.
