Last month, Bright Eyes cancelled their next three shows, then the remainder of their 2024 tour “on the advice of doctors,” saying that Conor Oberst had “developed a condition that is exacerbated by excessive singing, requiring both treatment and recuperation.” Conor has now given an update on his condition, saying that he’s “feeling a lot better” and that Bright Eyes’ tour is set to resume, as scheduled, in 2025. “Yeah, everyone who’s reached out, it’s very appreciated, and I’m feeling a lot better,” he says in the video message, which you can watch below. “We’re planning on resuming tour next year, like end of January, and yeah, if all goes well, as planned, then hopefully we’ll see lots of you somewhere in the world in 2025. Sounds crazy to even say that number. But um, yeah, I really really appreciate everything and yeah, love you guys, see you soon.”
Bright Eyes released the great Five Dice, All Threes last month, and their 2025 dates are currently set to begin in January and run through April, including an NYC show at Brooklyn Paramount on April 17; their Brooklyn Steel show scheduled for September 19 was one of the first three that were cancelled.
