UK punks Chubby and the Gang have announced their third album, And Then There Was…, due October 4 via Flatspot Records (pre-order). Written and performed by main member Charlie Manning (aka Chubby), produced by Fucked Up/Career Suicide/Jade Hairpins’ Jonah Falco, and mixed by James Atkinson, the album features recent single “The Bonnie Banks” (which we just named one of the best punk songs of June) as well as the just-released “To Be Young.” It’s another gritty punk/pub rock anthem, this time with guest vocals from Kate Clover, and Chubby says: “When you 17 you have no idea about life, you just exist. This song is romanticising that uncertainty. You make so many mistakes and you have no idea that your doing them.” Check out the Nick Suchak-directed video below.
Chubby also have an upcoming Europe/UK tour with the aforementioned Jade Hairpins (who also have a new LP on the way), and those dates are listed below.
