We’re down to the final two weeks before the 2024 election, and some big names are showing up for Kamala Harris campaign. Eminem will introduce Obama at one of her rallies in Michigan tonight (10/22), and Bruce Springsteen is now set to headline swing state rallies for her in the coming days, Rolling Stone reports. The “When We Vote We Win” shows are set to happen in seven swing states, and Harris, Obama, and Springsteen are all set to appear at the first on October 24 in Atlanta, and the second on October 28 in Philadelphia. A senior campaign official tells Rolling Stone more rallies in the series are still to be announced, and likely will be in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Caroline, and Nevada.
Springsteen shared a video on Instagram earlier this month endorsing Harris and calling the 2024 election “one of the most consequential” in US history, and Trump “the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.”
He also talked about keeping politics mostly offstage at his shows, speaking with George Stephanopoulos for the ABC News special Bruce Springsteen: Backstage and Backstreets. As Asbury Park Press points out, Springsteen told Stephanopoulos, “People know where I stand for the most part, but l also wanted a space where people feel they can come and be with their neighbor regardless of what their particular political point of view is at a given moment. But it’s difficult times. I certainly don’t know another time where fidelity to the Constitution was going to be something that was controversial.”
