Beyoncé has announced that she’ll play the Christmas Day halftime show in her hometown of Houston when the Houston Texans take on the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium, and that’s one of two Christmas Day games that will be streaming live on Netflix. (The other is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s team the Kansas City Chiefs playing the Pittsburgh Steelers.) The Texas game starts at 4:30 PM ET, and it will mark Beyoncé’s first performance since the release of her Grammy-nominated new album Cowboy Carter. Netflix says she’s expected to bring out guests who are featured on the album as well. No word on who that will be, but potential options include Shaboozey, Dolly Parton, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, and Willie Nelson.
Beyoncé previously headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2013 (Destiny’s Child reunion included), and she made the live debut of “Formation” as part of a special guest appearance during Coldplay’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2016.
This will be Netflix’s first year streaming Christmas Day NFL games, and they’ve already confirmed that they’ll do the same in 2025 and 2026 and they expect to keep it going from there.
