We’ve been anticipating the follow-up to Bartees Strange‘s great 2022 album Farm to Table arriving this year, and it looks like it might be on its way. Bartees has shared a new single, “Lie 95;” according to a press release, it “heralds a new era” for him. It features vocals from Kacy Hill and Charlene Gibbs, and Bartees co-produced it with notcharles; longtime collaborator Graham Richman also contributed production. “This song is about searching for love all across the Northeast corridor (I-95) – my universe,” Bartees says. “I’m thinking of Love in a broad way: partners, friends and community. This one’s for the highway…and everything I meet through it.”
“Lie 95” follows “Big Glow,” Bartees’ contribution to the I Saw The TV Glow soundtrack. He also released a rendition of “You Always Hurt the Ones You Love” for the Jack Antonoff-curated and produced soundtrack to The New Look earlier this year, and produced Pegg’s new self-titled album.
