So many artists, so many songs, so little time. SYD – “DIE FOR THIS”
Syd is back with her first new music in three years, a light and airy R&B number titled “Die for This.”

BIG SPECIAL – “GOD SAVE THE PONY”
“National Average is an album about the multitudes of a normal life as it begins to change,” says Big Special’s Joe Hicklin. “It’s about the stages of reflection on an average life as it moves further away. It’s about personal and political problems remaining the same as a life changes around them and they all begin to weave together.” Here the video to the album’s lead single.

THE HIVES – “LEGALIZE LIVING”
Of his band’s new single, Pelle Almqvist says: “Have you ever felt as though life is strangling you a little bit every day? Like a tight rollneck or the hands of an invisible garden gnome? Do you feel like they are putting you in ever smaller cages and on ever tighter schedules? Are you relating to Michael Douglas in Falling Down? You are not crazy! LAMB OF GOD – “CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE” (BLACK SABBATH COVER)
Lamb of God covered “Children of the Grave” at Black Sabbath’s final show and then released a studio version of it soon afterwards.

MALLRAT – “RADIO” (LANA DEL REY COVER)
Mallrat is supporting Marina on tour this fall, and with that announcement she’s shared a new cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Radio.” “Lana Del Rey is one of my all time favourite artists, and this song is one of my favourite songs of hers,” she says. “I love how the melodies and the delivery of the original feel like a national anthem. The lyrics are triumphant and remind me of how incredible it feels to defy people’s expectations. I remember listening to this song when I was a teenager, I often felt really isolated and this song was something that felt like a hopeful connection to my future self. I would listen to it and visualise my life being different.”

IDLEWILD – “STAY OUT OF PLACE”
It’s the first single from Scottish indie punk vets Idlewild’s first album in six years.
