So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
ORACLE SISTERS – “RIVERSIDE”
Parisian trio Oracle Sisters will release their secon album, Divinations, on February 14 via their own Wizard Artists imprint and they’ve just the chilled-out first single. “‘Riverside’ is a respite, a song to wrap yourself in and to look back on the year,” they say. “It’s about turning rust to gold. We hope it inspires you to go on long walks and to get lost in the wilderness.”

JULIA JACKLIN – “GOOD GUY” FT. FAYE WEBSTER
A couple months ago, Julia Jacklin shared a new live version of “Good Guy” from her 2019 album Crushing, featuring Faye Webster. The studio version is now out as well, and you can hear both.

BATHS – “SEA OF MEN”
Baths has announced Gut, his first album seven years, which will be out February 21 via his own Basement’s Basement label. “I find myself thinking about how confusingly animal I often feel—present in body but dissociative in spirit,” Baths Will Wiesenfeld says of the album’s first single. “Instinctual. An entire life where appetite comes first and ‘carnal is a normal mode,’ leaving little room to discover anything new about myself while constantly scavenging for the next gratification.”

BENJAMIN BOOKER – “SAME KIND OF LONELY”
Benjamin Booker’s first album in seven years, Lower, comes out in January, and he’s given us another early taste with “Same Kind of Lonely.” “I was thinking a lot about existence and the natural world—how things that start off so beautiful are often twisted into something unsettling or sinister,” he says. “Maybe the disconnect between the natural state of things and the modified state of things is the source of a lot of pain, suffering and loneliness in the world.”

ROI TURBO – “BAZOOKA”
South African duo Roi Turbo are made up of brothers Benjamin & Conor McCarthy who make groovy, jazzy instrumental dance music with a cinematic feel. “Bazooka” scratches a similar itch to Todd Terje.

JULIAN LYNCH – “O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM”
Real Estate’s Julian Lynch recorded a new rendition of “O Little Town of Bethlehem” for this year’s Slow Xmas compilation. “I felt immediately hooked by the concept.” Lynch says. “I’m always eager for an excuse to make a really slow song, and twice as eager for it to be a cover of a public domain holiday classic. The hardest part was deciding which song to choose, but I’m pretty pleased with my take on this underplayed gem.”

1010BENJA – “GET IN THE WAY”
1010Benja follows his acclaimed 2024 debut album Ten Total with another new single, “Get In The Way.”

DEAF CLUB – “EL CAMINO CAR CRASH” (SWING KIDS COVER)
Justin Pearson’s Three One G label is celebrating its 31st anniversary by reissuing the 2001-recorded, 2010-released Peel Sessions by Pearson’s now-defunct band The Locust, and along with the reissue, Pearson’s current band Deaf Club also released a cover of “El Camino Car Crash” by Pearson’s highly-influential pre-Locust band Swing Kids.

PATRIARKH (BATUSHKA) – “WIERSZALIN II”
Patriarkh, the new name of Bartłomiej Krysiuk’s version of Batushka, have shared a third single from their upcoming album ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ (PROROK ILJA).

DAY BY DAY – “STILL BLEEDS”
