When We Were Young 2025 lineup: Panic! at the Disco, blink-182, Weezer

Las Vegas’ When We Were Young has announced its 2025 lineup, happening on Saturday, October 18 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Panic! at the Disco, who broke up in 2023, are coming back for “one special night” to play their 2005 debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out in full for its 20th anniversary (no word yet on who’s in their lineup for this though; all the people who played on that album except singer Brendon Urie left the band years ago), and they’re co-headlining with blink-182, who are promising a set of songs from Enema of the State, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, self-titled, and more.

The fest also includes plenty of the expected pop punk/emo nostalgia, like like Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Offspring, All Time Low, The Used, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire, The Story So Far, The Starting Line, The Movielife, and more; and there are also some surprises/rarer sets on there like Straylight Run (the Taking Back Sunday offshoot’s first-announced show since briefly returning for four shows with TBS in 2021), Andrew McMahon’s post-Something Corporate band Jack’s Mannequin, and the first Set Your Goals show in over 5 years.

WWWY also seems to have booked more metal and metalcore bands than usual for the 2025 edition–the kind of stuff you might sooner expect to see at WWWY sister fest Sick New World–including Knocked Loose, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White, Kublai Khan TX, I Prevail, The Plot In You, Beartooth, We Came As Romans, Crown the Empire, The Amity Affliction, and letlive., and you can now add WWWY to the list of fests showing love to today’s hardcore scene, with not just Knocked Loose and Kublai Khan but Sunami on there as well.

The lineup also dips its toes into more of a classic punk vibe with The Gaslight Anthem and Bad Religion.
