Turnstile tour continues as investigation into Richmond pepper spray incident begins (pics from Chicago)
Turnstile‘s seriously stacked Never Enough tour began earlier this month in Nashville, and hit Chicago on Friday for a show at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Like the Nashville show, most of the setlist focused on their Never Enough material, plus some Glow On songs and a few earlier faves. Mannequin Pussy and Speed opened, and you can see pictures from the whole night by Christian Heinzel, and Turnstile’s setlist, below. Meanwhile, video has been circulating from Turnstile’s Wednesday (9/24) show in Richmond, VA, where a sheriff’s deputy appears to pepper spray an attendee. The alleged incident happened during Turnstile’s encore performance of “Birds,” where they invite fans to join them onstage. In the video, one person appears to be sprayed in the face, and bassist Franz Lyons is also shown covering his eyes. Richmond Sheriff Antionette Irving told CBS 6 that the Richmond Sheriff’s office handled security at the show, and that the incident is under investigation.
